Paper Piecing - Sweet Stamping

Third post this week, not at all like me but the challenge over at ..
Sweet Stamping is Paper Piecing, how could I miss that?

The stamp is Penny Black - Slapstick/Cling - Awaken
One of my current favourites
The papers are Lawn Fawn - Perfectly Plaid - Spring
I have paper pieced the flowers with a background I made from Distressed Oxides.

The die across the centre is not long enough to go across the 6 x 6 card and I usually cut it in the middle to go at each side of the image but on this occasion I had to cut it to place the image at one side as it was cut from a snippet of the D.O. background and missed some at the top of the left hand side, so you can guess what is coming next, yep, I am also entering this card into the Snippets Playground the backing card of the image and sentiment is also a snippet.

Thank you for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.
I now have to publish and then comment on my own post so I can tick the box that will send any comments to me by mail!!!????

Rudolph Day - May 2018

Well here we are again, time to pop over to ScrappyMo's for the monthly RD challenge.
You have until the 31st of May to enter.

I have made only one card for this challenge but the design and image will be shown again in a future  RD challenge.
The Snowman is a Penny Black stamp from the Jolly Friends collection.
The backing papers are Trimcraft - Gilded Winter 8x8 pad
Spellbinders Card Creater die
The dies behind the snowman are just floating about in my die draw!! Quite old ones.

Happy Rudolph Day (a tad late for me but, better late than never)
Not the best photo, it does look better in real life.

Allsorts challenge - week 469 - Insects, Bugs, Bees or Butterflies

This theme has been chosen by the lovely Tracy Mouse.
As the title says you have a choice of insects, bugs, bees or butterflies or all the lot if you wish.

Our Sponsor this week is Bee Crafty
With this A4 Rare Earth stamp sheet

This is the card I should have posted on here as my Allsorts butterflies card
Penny Black - Potted Flowers

Using Penny Black - My little cupcake, such a cute smile.
Which features a caterpillar, just in case you were wondering! I have paper pieced his body with bits of the spotty paper.
The papers are from a very old 6 x 6 paper pad and one of those that you love the colours and the papers so you really hate to use them unfortunately I have so I can not tell you the name of them as I have hardly any left and the front sheet has gone.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave are very much appreciated.
Have a lovely week.

Back to Basics- use your papers

The challenge over at Back to Basics and more is to use your papers.
Based upon the 'one sheet wonder' theory, where you have to try to see how many cards you can make using 12x12 sheet of patterned paper.
I have seen this on Pinterest quite a few time and kept saying to myself I must give it a go.
I managed to make nine cards and here they are..

Now if I were to do this again I would choose a more multi coloured paper, then I could vary the backing card, luckily I had a lot of snippets of the backing card, which is SU Melon Mambo and also the white card I used for the die cut flowers were all white snippets.
I have left the cards without sentiments for use at a later date.
The card with the square die cut has very small punched flowers around the edge, punched from very small strips left over from the papers.
I shall also enter these into the snippets playground. week 326. Not dipped my toe in there for ages so expect that Parsnip will totally ignore me.

Thanks for popping by.

Allsorts Challenge week 468 - Happy Birthday Allsorts

Good Morning all, today is the Allsorts challenge 9th Birthday and do we have some super prizes for you this week.
Eight lovely prizes, plus a store voucher from Craft Obsessions

Plus a few extra prizes as well.

A lovely simple theme for this week .. Birthdays

For my card I have used a Distress Oxides background.
6 x 6 card
Dies by Sue Wilson - Atlantic Ocean Collection - Background
Again by Sue Wilson - Finishing touches - Pinwheel Florals.
I cut the flowers from white card stock and then again out of the background card and placed the white flowers over the top of the yellow ones
Sentiment stamp Woodware, I think?
The centre of the flowers are Candy Dots from Pebbles Ink had them for ages but really fitted with the colours here.

I have loads of dies and I have to say that these cut the best ever.
I hope that you like these dies as you will be seeing them pretty regularly.

Please pop over to the challenge blog to see the lovely creations from the rest of the team.

Thanks for popping by and any comment that you are kind enough to leave.
Have a great week.

Stamped the image then coloured the flower in pink then stamped again onto the backing paper and placed on top of the pink just glueing the centre of the flowers then raising them slightly.
The large leaves were stamped again and coloured then placed on top of the original.

Allsorts challenge week 466 - Fancy Folds

Saturday once again and it is the lovely Mervi this week who has chosen the theme of ...

Fancy Folds

Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique
with a voucher to use in the store.

We also have this second prize

Here is my card and I have used Digi Stamp Boutique image.

Beer Set

The fold I have used is called Dutch Fold card.
Great image and sentiment for a Father's Day card which is next month here in the UK.
Coloured with Pro-markers and used white glitter on the froth.
Gold mirri backing card.

Yesterday I went for an eye scan, the optician was very pleased with the results, now I can not remember all the technical jargon but one of the things he was looking at, he told me that while it could happen, I was really TOO YOUNG to have this problem but they like to check, just in case.

Goodness knows how many years it has been since I was told I was too young for something.

Thank you for popping by and for any comments you are kind enough to leave.
Have a lovely week.
