Allsorts challenge week 426 - Poppies or colour inspiration

Good Morning - our fabulous team leader Brenda has set the theme for this weeks challenge.
She would like to see either Poppies on your card or colours from this lovely colour chart.
Of course you can also use a poppy image and any or all of these colours on your creation.

Our sponsor this week is Swedish House Crafts.

Here is my card.

I have used an old Hero Arts stamp set Delicate Blossoms 2010
Stamped the image three times.
The die is part of a set of three, I would guess at Spellbinders.
The sentiment is Craftwork card and the wording is in silver and does not show up very well at all on the photo.

Once again I did not have any red backing card that matched the red of the poppies so I just went round the edges of white card and the backing oval for the sentiment and again behind where the die would go with the pro marker I had used to colour the image.
I have decided that I will no longer buy coloured backing card and just use this method, mind you that may take quite a while for me to use up the backing card that I already have.

Have a great week everyone and thanks for popping by.

Rudolph meets Parsnip

Well another month has sped by and it is time for the July RD challenge over at Scrappy Mo's.
Only four more challenges left, doesn't seem two minutes from the first one.

I only made this card last night and I have to admit I did get the idea from Pinterest, the person who made the card used a stamp but I have used a die.

I cut the die three times, each time from a snippet of green card and then added the Nuvo Crystal drops and left to dry. Cut the backing card and the stitched edge white card.
SU label  punch and computer generated sentiment.
With using the snippets of green card I am popping into weeks 291/292 Pixies Snippets Playground to check on Parsnip.

The background paper is from a pad from a year or so ago, Frozen
The snowflake card is Kanban

Allsorts challenge week 424 - Lavender and Lace

Here we are another Saturday has crept upon us and this weeks theme has been chosen by the very, very talented Brenda and she wants to see Lavender and Lace on your creations.
We have two lovely prizes for you this week.

This lovely stamp set from KaiserCraft

Also this lovely die set from Sizzex

Here is my card

I have used a Penny Black image from the Botanical Garden collection.
I have coloured the image with Copics version of Lavender (the darker shade) and Promarkers version of Lavender is the lighter shade.
Old SU DP.
Computer generated sentiment.
Lace that was white but coloured with the two pens to match.
The base backing card was white and I coloured round the edge to match the Copics version, I also did that with the banner and the border round the image as I did not have any card stock that really matched the colours of the image.
I do this quite often to be honest.
Thank You.

Snippets Playground weeks 287/288

Didn't manage to get into the Playground for the last two weeks challenge.

It is coming to time of year again for Grandson's teachers 'Thank you' cards
Ethan only wanted two for his Form teachers, but Austin seemed to go overboard this year and one of them was for a Male teacher, freak out at that point.

Now you can not tell from the photo but the Rich Razzelberry card stock has a pattern on it and I had only a small amount of this left but have quite a few sheet of the plain card.
The lime green card is from some old Craftwork Cards card stock.
The flowers are a Crealies die and stamp set.
Craftwork Cards - card candy
Computer generated sentiment.
I thought the the two colours went really well together, well they do IRL. In fact to be honest I loved the colour combination and so did my Daughter.

The centres of the flowers were from other left over snippet of the lime card, and by the end of making the rest of the cards I had a real job of getting all the flowers from the bits and pieces that were left as I did not want to use the plain card.

Each flower has been cut twice and a very thin Woodware sticky pad to raise the top flower from the bottom one, although it doesn't really show here.
The leaves were also die cut from bits and bats of the green card.
I have to admit that I really struggled to get the flowers for all the cards

Here are the other cards.

This is the male one.
A digi image printed a couple of times .
No snippets were used on this card.

Thank goodness that is over for another year.
Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts challenge week 422 - A Question of Sport

Good Morning it is my turn to choose the theme for this weeks challenge over at Allsorts
and I have chosen "A Question of Sport"a take on the TV programme here in the UK.

Any sport of your choice, quite a wide range to choose from and Wimbledon will be starting on Monday.

Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique.

We also have an extra prize of this 6 x 6 paper pad.

Here is my card.

As you can see I have chosen Fishing.
This is a digi image that I have had for years.
Papers are LOTV
I have paper pieced the boat

It also has a image for the inside of the card but I haven't done it for this card but I can show you the original inside card that I did for my BIL five years ago when he was 65 and I put on the front 'this fish must weigh 65lb'. He his a keen fisherman.

Unfortunately it doesn't show the name of the maker.

Thanks for popping by, and please pop to the challenge blog to see the fabulous creation from the rest of the team.
