Allsorts challenge week 447/448 - Seasonal Flowers

Good Morning and welcome to our last challenge of 2017 over at Allsorts.

The theme for this challenge has been chosen by the very talented Mervi and it will run for two weeks.

As it  is a two week challenge I did a couple of cards,  pretty simple cards but difficult to photograph.

Penny Black and More Challenge - CAS

This months challenge over at PB and more is CAS

This is a new stamp to me by Bee Crafty.

It is called - BEAUtanicals.

I have not had any stamps from this company before but it stamps beautifully.

Such a large image I feel it needs nothing else when stamped in full.

Although this is my second card made with the stamp and I did put a few gems in the corners but wasn't sure if that was still classed as CAS.

I have used Penny Black stamp from the T for Transparent set
Botanical Garden
I stamped it twice and cut out the large flower to raise it from the background flowers.
Backing card once again was white but edged with the same colour Pormarker as I used on the image.

The very plain green is a Pearl glitter.

I did have a terrible time taking a photo, then I had a 'lightbulb' moment...

I took the photo in the dark, I think I had the flash on and it worked pretty well to show all the glitter.

I also used the same ProMarker that I coloured the image with to colour the backing card and the border die so they would match the flowers.

It does not show here but I stamped and coloured the image twice and then paper pieced the flowers.

Allsorts challenge 440 - Blue and Brown

As I quite liked this colour combo I did another using more of a lighter brown for the backing and a brighter blue

SU label punch.

C.C. Designs stamp - Columbine

Sizzex die for the cut outs and some gems and paper from ages ago. Thought it was about time I tried them out.
The backing on the first card does appear to be black but it is dark brown could not colour the leaves in a darker brown as it did not show the details of the leaves.
I stamped the image twice and then paper pieced the flowers, it does not show on the photo.

Well we had our bonfire and fireworks Friday night so that is over for another year.

Here is my card.

For my card I have used Penny Black image from the 2010 set Jolly Friends.
The die is Die-namics
Cut it out in red for the frame then cut it again in white for the inlays.
The sentiment stamp is Woodware.
Added a few little snowflake dies in the background.

Rudolph Day - October 2017

So the penultimate RD challenge for 2017 over at ScrappyMo's
Well I think it is, as I have been waiting all day for Mo's post to appear and it still hasn't but since I have seen quite a few have posted their cards I am going to post mine now too. Hope Mo is OK.

These cards were originally going to be for the final RD challenge, going out with a bang, but then realised that I hadn't done the teachers cards yet so I have left them for the last challenge of the year, when I have done them.

Here are my cards.

150 cards for the Company I used to work for,  to send to their customers.

Unfortunately I had put 75 already into the envelopes before I realised that I hadn't taken photo's, well there was no way that I was going to take them back out, so you will just have to believe me that  I did make 150.

It will be a long time before I use this image again!

With using my Stamp Perfect tool I could stamp the image and the sentiment together

Various DP and backing card, some kindly sent to me by Parsnips Mum.
Paper pieced the hat and scarf, glittered the hanger thingy at the top.

For the inserts the right hand side gives the greeting and the left hand side gives the names of all the Staff, I do them in different fonts so it looks more like they have been signed personally.

Would you believe a member of staff left the other week, tough, not doing the inserts again.

I have written all my Christmas Cards and yesterday wrapped 6 presents.

Well, I don't do Halloween, so I bought a Bugaboo image, coloured the background and the moon and made some little pumpkins from card candy.
It is Halloween as it says so on the image but spooky, I think not, even the 'pumpkins' seem to have a smile on their face!

Wonder where Mischief night and Penny for the Guy have disappeared to? They were more prominent in mine and my Daughters youth rather than Halloween.

Good Morning All - Challenge 437 is chosen by our lovely Brenda and she would like you to

I have gone for a bit of a dusky pink look.
I have also used my all time favourite Penny Black stamp - Whispers.
An oldie but a goodie as they say.

The stamp dates back to 2006 and I have only owned it for a couple of months.
I have loved it since I first saw it but for some reason never bought it and regretted it ever since but a lovely blogging friend told me that someone was selling it, I think Amazon or E-bay mailed my Daughter to get it for me, I feel that it is a stamp, along with the PB stamp Gossamer will never date, you may think differently but that is what I think.

Since making this card I have put a name on under the gems, didn't want to put it on before.

Allsorts challenge week 436 - Leaves and Trees

Leaves/Trees, well it is Autumn and there are lots of leaves about.

I have actually done two cards for this challenge as I wasn't too sure about my first card.

Here are my cards.

The tree is Hero Arts from yonks ago

Stamped 4 times 

First image coloured with just browns and greens for the Spring effect

Second image coloured with brown green and red for the berries for Summer effect

Third image coloured with various Autumn colours and the last image managed to cover the leaves with glitter to get a winter effect.

Sentiment computer generated and an idea that just came to me.

  Always like to sneak in another Christmas card whenever possible

Here is my card

This was the image that I posted on the Allsorts blog because the actual front of the card which I intended for the challenge was the one below.

But with it being die cut from gold mirri card could I get a decent photo, NO I could not!

Also the backing of the EF was gold mirri card but somehow managed to look silver on the photo.

As this is quite a personal card for a good male friend of ours who will be 50 in December.
I have shown the card before adding more personal details to it.

One of them is pretty simple really after the wording "you don't look a day older" I will put
"than Yesterday"
It is a front opening card.
EF is Simple stripes
The gold mirri image is a Cuttlebug die, and a very old one too. By the way it says Happy Birthday, in case you can't read it from the poor photo.

The cake stamp and sentiment is Woodware.

Rudolph Day - September 2017

Well it is time for another Rudolph Day over at Scrappy Mo's.

Once again I have used images from the LOTV art pad.

Fitted the image perfectly as they are blue with a touch of pink and so are the images.
