Rudolph Day - September 2016

Rudolph Day, again, they seem to come round so quickly.
Oh, have to put this post on hold as I haven't taken my photo's yet!!!!
Well that was a nightmare and a really rubbish photo, I blame it on all the glitter.
My favourite is the centre green one as I did not have any backing paper that really went with the glitter on the  image so I just used double sided tape and peeled off the top layer and glittered it with the same glitter as the image.

Six cards and I am just about done for this year, only special Family cards left. But still have some cards to show for the last two RD challenges.
Please do pop over to Scrappy Mo's - Scraps of Life blog to see the lovely cards made by her and the DT.
Oops, Woodware stamp - Berry Wreath, it is a really lovely stamp but not for the faint hearted, I really, really struggled with this one, tried it with pearls, glitter glue and plain glitter as shown here, but these were the best but certainly not perfect. The best thing is the prices of Woodware stamps are reasonable.
Various glitters and backing papers,

Thank you so much for dropping in and I would love to hear your thoughts on this post, good or bad.

Allsorts challenge week 382 - Use Newspaper print

Another Saturday morning and here we are again with a new challenge at Allsorts.
Our sponsor this week is Scrappers Delights.

The lovely Annie has chose the theme for us this week and it really threw me, I had nothing at all related to newspaper print, apart from a newspaper which I really didn't want to use but a lovely Lady in our local craft club came to my rescue.

Now this card is for our Paper Boy, who will be 69 in December, yes 69!
So I thought the use of the newspaper print was very apt for him, he is a friend and neighbour, not just the paper boy.
Woodware stamp, paper pieced with Craftwork Cards newspapers papers
Backing papers - LOTV/ Nitwits - Country Gent
Computer generated headline.
Distress ink around the Happy Birthday which only seems to show up on one side, camera again.
Thanks for calling by and look forward to your comments, good or bad.

Allsorts challenge - week 381-Black, white and one other colour.

The very talented Kevin has chosen this weeks challenge of ...
Black, white and one other colour, love this challenge.

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Ribbons

Here is my card.

The only thing that bothers me about this card is that the image does not give a genuine black image but it was stamped with Versafine Onyx black but looks brown to me, not another visit to SpecSavers, I am there every other day! - Kidding.
It must be my camera, sorry.
Image is Honey Doo Crafts - Delicate Dandelions
Paper - unknown, had for ages.
Computer generated sentiment.
SU punches
Craftwork Cards - Candi

I love any make of stamp that uses Dandelions but I hate it when their clocks are flying in real life and how come they take over more than other flower seeds?

Hope you all have a lovely week.

Allsorts challenge week 380 - Anniversaries

Good morning all, once again it is my turn to choose the theme for the Allsorts challenge.
How these weeks fly by.

My chosen theme is.....
Anniversaries/Special Occasions or Congratulations.
No Happy Birthday's, I know that it is a special occasion and an Anniversary but not for this weeks challenge.

The sponsor this week is Crafty Ribbons

The reason I have chosen this theme is because it is very close to the Anniversary of being on the DT at Allsorts for a year. I really can't believe it and thought I would have had my P45 before now!

Embossing folder - Marrianne comes with small hearts die as well, that I have used for the 4 corner hearts.
Heart Die - Impression Obsession.
Computer generated sentiment.
Hope you all have a great week.

Follow up on last weeks post, Ethan is loving his new school, phew?

Allsorts challenge week 379 - New beginnings

Hello there, and welcome to a new challenge here at Allsorts.
Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique

Tracy has chosen the theme of New Beginnings, so quite a wide scope there for all of you.

I am quite delighted that this theme has been chosen at this time as my eldest Grandson, Ethan, starts on Monday afternoon, just for the new pupils, then a full day Tuesday at his new School - Big School as it was always called at one time.

So here is my card for Ethan.

The image may be a tad younger than he is and the sentiment( computer generated) may be a little difficult to read ..
but it says...
You are beginning a new chapter in your life,
Enjoy your new school, Ethan.
Hope I don't forget to give it him on Sunday.

The stack of books and the boy image are from Bugaboo.
The papers I have had for quite some time and have lost the front page.

Looking forward to seeing the entries for this lovely challenge.

LIM challenge 291

What a great challenge for those of us who have been there, done that, and have moved on, but secretly we have all still got some stickers and peek off's in our stash.

I am using one of my all time favourite Peel Offs.
Woodware - FR collection.

Thank you for any comments.
