Allsorts challenge week 374 - A Touch of Sparkle

The lovely Tracy has chosen the theme for this week and it is -
A touch of sparkle - use glitter or gems.

Our sponsor this week is Scrappers Delight.

This is my take on the challenge.

Does not really show all the glitter and sparkle but I have used various shades of Glitter Glue.
Su backing card and sentiment punches
Tonic die - Top note Trellis
Corner edge punch
Sentiment computer generated.
Woodware stamp - Bubble bloom - Lynell.

Had a fabulous day last, Wednesday, went to meet Darnell and about 12 other fabulous card makers.

Lunch was at 12, mailed Darnell Tuesday night saying I would be there at 11, oh silly me, two accidents and road works, arrived at 12.30 but it was worth it.
Should have listened to Sally Traffic.
Took one hour to get home.

I will have even more sparkle in my life on Tuesday as my eldest Daughter is coming home from Sydney for a few weeks arrives on Tuesday, getting mega excited.

July Rudolph Day

Can't believe it, can you? Another Rudolph Day over at ScrappyMo's
There is a new design team for the next 6 months, so thanks to the old team and a huge welcome to the new team.

I bought a new stamp, I don't why, but there you are, and here it is.

Woodware - Traditional Tree
So I had a play and my first thoughts were black embossed tree and silver background - ok?
Then I tried this....
WOW - red glitter embossing powder on silver.

Then I tried this..
WOW Green embossing powder but added stickles glitter glue with my finger and this is the most sparkly so I made 5 of these, but silly me, didn't do a group photo, so you only get the one
Sentiments are all peel off stickers.
The pot of the green one has been paper pieced.
The glitter doesn't really show on the two that has glitter on.
Another 7 to add to my total.

Thanks so much for popping by

Allsorts challenge week 373 - Anything but a card

Another week and another challenge here at Allsorts.
For week 373, Helene has chosen the theme of Anything but a card?!?!

Our sponsor this week is Lets Create

Struggled for this challenge and came upon this idea.
Before Christmas last year I bought these wooden items and as the samples in the craft shop were using Distress Inks, I had a go, my attempts went in the bin and so nearly, did those that were left, but I put them away and then found them again during my craft room re-organisation, a couple of weeks ago.
I used VersaMark watermark stamp pad and sprinkled them with WOW embossing power and used my heat gun and was quite pleased with the result.
The top 3 are using Metalic gold sparkle
The second line uses Metalic Platinam sparkle
then Apple red, which I am not really keen on for the bells image
The first two on the third line uses Silver bells sparkle and the last one is a cosmic shimmer, but it doesn't.
I am sorry about the photo's as the glittery effect does not seem to show at all.
I have not yet decided how I am going to use them but at least I have used them so I am pleased about that.
Have a great week everyone.

Allsorts challenge week 372 - Add a frame

Good Morning week 372 here at Allsorts and it is Annie's turn to host the challenge and she has chosen the theme of add a frame.

We have a lovely prize for you this week and this is it...
A lovely photo album.
I love the way the ribbon covers up part of the age, it could be 50 or 60 a very subtle way of disguising the decade.

Here is my take on the challenge.
I decided that because of the rather large image to keep the rest of the card white.
Image is Penny Black - Slapstick - Freshly Cut
Coloured with Promarkers
Sentiments Craftwork Cards
Embossing folder - Crafts Too.
In hindsight  I wish I had used sticky pads on the frame to give it a bit of a lift.
Too many leaves on this image I think, spoils it.

Thanks for any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Snippets Playground week 236

Wrote this post a couple of days ago and forgot about so must dash into the playground pdq.

Sorry about the pretty iffy photos, some of them look as if they have been on Brenda's hooch, a bit wide eyed and legless.
So, all the fabulous die frames were cut from snippets of white card.
Tonic die
Hobby Art stamp - Poppy Bloom
Various backing card
 Computer, personalised sentiment.
These cards were made for my two Grandson's teacher's Thank you cards.

The end of an era for Ethan as he leaves the
J and I school this year, I remember his first day, I cried and I will cry on his last day, I am dead soppy.

They are actually finishing a day earlier, as they are going out to join Dad who will be in Nice and Ethan says he does not mind finishing earlier as Hot Dog are for lunch that day, he loves Hot Dogs ,and he will say his goodbye's then and will be happy as he is going to see his Dad, the day after.
Thanks so much for popping by.
