Allsorts - Birthdays

The challenge this week over at Allsorts is Birthday's because they are celebrating their 6th Birthday a fabulous occasion for a blog challenge as many do not last that long.

Now here is a Lady who is celebrating her 80th Birthday, I should be so lucky.

I have used the Delicate Mum die from Poppystamps, the last time I blogged this stamp I used it once, the next time I make a card I will use it three times.
The papers are from Craft Creations - Shimmer paper Gold, I didn't buy it directly from them but from my local craft shop - 15 sheets for £1.99
The number and letters are Memory Box Dies and the little dots are from bits from these dies.
Computer generated sentiment  and Su punches.
Gosh I nearly forgot to post this.

May Rudolph Day

I am honoured to have been asked to be the guest designer for this months Rudolph Day over at ScrappyMo's

I have been working on Ethan's classmates cards, Austin's all done and dusted and so are these now.

4 x 4 cardstock, no idea of the make but really good quality card but didn't fold at all well.
Woodware - Little Red Robin stamp, love it.
Paper pieced with various bits and pieces of card and papers
Glossy accents on the berries and eye.
Computer generated sentiment.
SU punch

I really sort of wish I had glossed the holly leaf and beak too, but hey it is for 10 year old's.
Just to prove I have done a batch here is another photo but still couldn't get them all on.

Ok, if you picked up on the 'various bits and pieces' you will realise that these Robin's are swooping down to the Snippets Playground. Hope they don't scare Parsnip.
Been a mad week here, one way and another.

Oh a gentle reminder that there are only 6 more Rudolph Days to Christmas.

While typing this I am listening to Song for Europe, well not too sure how Australia managed to get into Europe, must have been since my Daughter became an Australian citizen last year, bring back Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson, I say.

Happy Rudolph Day to you all and look forward to seeing your entries.

Allsorts - use dies

This weeks challenge at Allsorts is to use at least 2 dies.

Poppy Stamp Dies - Woodland Border
                        Berry Sprig
                            Kirby Blooms
                                      Bloomington Border
Die -namics -   Picket Fence
Flowers and Woodland border coloured with distressed inks
Peel off letters, coloured pink

Loved making this card so be warned you will be seeing it again, in different colour ways of course.

Now I am still using up white snippets from my Snowflake cards last Christmas, as I made 120,  so once again I am heading off to the playground to see what mischief is going on there.

Goodness me I think we have managed only one evening this year when we have not had the central heating on, my Husband is not too happy about it, but I said to him, I have no idea what I am going to  die of, but I have no intentions of freezing to death.

Thanks for your time.

april showers bring May Flowers @ Allsorts

The challenge this week over at Allsorts is -April showers brings May flowers.

The die is Bloomington Border by Memory Box
For the front of the card I have cut the die into the 3 flowers and displayed them as a bunch
Sorry no idea of the papers
Coloured the flowers while still in the die using DI - Spiced Marigold and Shabby shutters the scalloped circle was also coloured in SM
Sentiment is Craftwork Cards
I have nothing that is related to rain or showers although we have had a lot of rain here today and some quite heavy downpours.

But on a brighter note, I have booked a holiday today, can't tell you when as there is now a clause on household insurance that if you say on Facebook or a blog, when you are going away,  or post pictures while you are on holiday you are not insured, as it is regarded that you are inviting burglars into your house.

Less is More week 222

I have chosen the pinkish shade and the lime green, although it does look a tad purple here
I have used a ready made circle card, can't remember the make.
Delicate Mum die - Poppystamps
Craft Creations shimmer paper bought from Sam Taylors, I actually can't believer this is making a come back as it was around years ago.

Here is the card when photographed from a different angle.

I cut the circle from a piece of scrap white card the cut out the flower, I then backed the flower with a snippet of the shimmer paper, coloured the stem, then glued the stem and only the centre of the flower into the circle, then raised the outer leaves of the flower to give a slightly 3 D effect.
You can't really tell here.
I got this idea from the Poppystamps blog but can't find it now to do a link, it is effective in R.L. but no doubt it will flatten once in an envelope.
So as there are a few snippets used here I am also shooting off to the Snippets Playground. week 175
I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of this die.

Thanks  for looking.
