Allsorts Challenge 330 - Numbers

Wendy has asked us to use Numbers on our creations this week

Our sponsor this week is Marianne Designs and this is the prize on offer

A great prize on the approach to Christmas.

I have use a Mo Manning image - Have a blast, available as a digi image from Mo or on a P.B. stamp set with other images.
Papers are My Minds Eye

I first saw this image on a lovely blogging friend Chris, who makes fabulous cards and her card really made me want this image, although I would have felt really guilty totally casing it.

I have used a chipboard 7 and covered it with a paper that had numbers on then ran over it with distressed ink.
My youngest Grandson will be 7 in December and he has loved his water guns this Summer so this card will be ideal for him.

Looking forward to seeing your entries in our numbers challenge this week.

Rudolph Day - September 2015

I have two new dies both are from Poppy Stamps
Snowy Merry Christmas
Snowflake Ribbon

I knew I wanted to use these two dies together and this was my first idea.

Well that was a great mistake  but thought I would show and tell.
I had to find a pretty flat EF as the shimmer paper would not be thick enough not to show the bumps from the EF.
I did not manage to get the ribbon die the reach the end of the white and as you can see not a level ending
On this card I went for a more simple layout and I do prefer this one apart from the fact the white glitter paper does not show up as much as the silver glitter on the first card and the photo is not as good.

I did have a 3rd idea but that is in the bin.

Oh and for the very first time I have used the StickIt backing adhesive for the dies, it did make them more sturdy.

There are snippets used on this card, mostly from the shimmer paper and the white glitter paper so off to the Snippets Playground.

Happy Rudolph Day everyone and pop over to Mo's to join in the challenge

It's close to midnight and something evils, lurking in the dark, it's ok, it's only me, with a long awaited entry into a LIM challenge which this week is Technology, a subject that we love or hate and this is my take on it. and at the moment I hate it.
The photo is horrendous, technology,  at it's worst.
And to be honest I have had an horrendous week technology wise
Night, God bless.

The challenge this week at Allsorts has been chosen by Tracey Mouse and she has asked us to use some Sparkle on our card.

Embossed with WOW - Silver Bells embossing powder
Papers - LOTV/Nitwits
Snowflakes - EK Success punch and Poppy Stamps - Giovanna snowflake

The photo does not actually do this card justice and as the Beach Boys sang - God only knows?,
why I didn't put the sentiment over the ribbon.

Allsorts challenge - Buttons

is hosted by Susan and she would like to see some BUTTONS on your entry.

Our sponsor this week is

Image - Sassy Cheryl
Papers - Craftwork Cards - very old collection.
Cuttlebug embossing strip - buttons
The leaf buttons I have no idea, I have had them so long
Sentiment, and the punches SU.
I put glossy accents on the image buttons and WoS on the embossed borders.

I specifically bought this image for a friend of mine, who was always saying she had "buttons for brains"  and put Happy Birthday, Buttons for Brains on her card
It went down well actually.

Hope you are able to join in our Buttons challenge at Allsorts, this week.

Snippets Playground as always Anything goes

Snippets Playground with the terror of the bike shed Prefect..
Just popping in at the last minute with this little card made from various snippets and an up-cycled image from a Birthday card I received this year, quite a sparkly image too good to waste, poor photo, lots of snippets with the cards and papers  and image, still some left to make another card.
Yes there is a Butterfly on it and I like it.

Allsorts challenge 327 and Guess what?

Surprise, surprise, I am now a member of the DT for Allsorts, I am so nervous, but mega excited and  also very, very, honoured to join this fabulous Team. I just hope I can live up to the trust placed in me.

It is week 327 at Allsorts  and the challenge is hosted by Mervi which is Lots of Layers

I have used an old favourite PB stamp - Chearful (that is how it is spelt on the stamp)
Stamped with Memento Paris Dusk
Paper pieced with LOTV/Nitwits papers that was from a taster pack and not available anymore.
Navy blue backing card
Dies - Tonic
The ribbon is from a M and S jumper, don't they just get in the way? I am not in the habit of cutting out the ribbons but did with this one as I knew I had no navy blue ribbon.
Blue is not a colour I very often use for female cards but this was a pleasant change.

There are some fabulous prizes from our sponsors.

Jiggery Makery - 3 images of the winners choice.

and this is the prize from
Looking forward to seeing your entries.

Snippets Playground - week 192

This card was actually made a couple of months ago and I have only just realised that I have not blogged it.
Another variation using my favourite flower dies from
Memory Box - Bloomington Border
Poppystamps - Kirby Blooms
Swiss dots embossing folder
There is no sentiment on the card as I wasn't really sure what to put on it.
Off to the Playground to see what Pixie has been up to this week.
Just realised that I can enter this into the Cuttlebug Mania challenge - Anything goes
I have used both my Cuttlebug and Grand Caliber to make this card.
