Allsorts Challenge week 416 - Happy Birthday Allsorts

Good Morning and as you can see by my post heading it's Birthday time here at Allsorts.
Brenda has worked very hard to get a super prize for you and here are the details...

Our Birthday challenge is kindly sponsored by Tattered Lace who are offering a fabulous £50 store voucher for this weeks winner...................and in addition there is a £5.00 voucher for every single entrant to spend at their Crafting store.

To use your £5 voucher you will need a code which can be found by visiting each of the DT's personal blogs, collecting the nine letters/numbers and creating the unique code.......it's a really simple one I promise, but if you really do get stuck just mail Brenda. Your voucher will be valid from today until Saturday 27th May and is limited to one voucher per entrant, that means even if you enter three times you will only receive one voucher.

For my card I have used card stock from Kanban.
Silver glitter card the photo does not do the sparkle justice.
Memory Box Happy Birthday die, which I have used twice once on the glitter card and then again on snippets of matching Kanban flower card, a slight clue there to suggest that when the gates open tomorrow I will be entering this card into the Snippets Playground, weeks 281 and 282

Please do pop over to the challenge blog to see the fabulous creations from my very talented team mates.

Allsorts challenge week 415 - Ring-a-ring of roses.

Our fabulous Team Leader Brenda has chosen the theme of Ring a ring of roses for this weeks challenge

First of all though another reminder for our special challenge next week
You certainly do not want to miss this one as we have a fabulous prize for the lucky winner.
These are the prizes for this weeks challenge and we have two on offer, this lovely stamp from Heartfelt Creations
and this lovely Paper Pad

I have taken the challenge literally and done a circular card, with a ring of roses.
The roses are from the Penny Black collection of clear stamps - Efforescence.
Looked that up the dictionary and it means a production of flowers.

Backing papers are Nitwits/LOTV
Sentiment Craftwork Cards.
I have actually paper pieced the roses.
Thank you for calling, have a great week.

Snippets Playground weeks 279/280

As I somehow missed the last two weeks in Pixies Snippets Playground I thought I had better be sure to have an entry in weeks 279/280

Here is my entry.

Everything apart from the base card and the DP is from snippets.
I was playing with a stamp and matching die from a Simon Says Stamp set
I cut the dark flowers from  a snippet of card stock and the lighter one from some snippets of Nitwits/LOTV papers. The circles behind the flowers were also die cut from snippets.
The DP are also Nitwits/LOTV.
Added some gems to the centre of the flowers.

Thanks for popping by.

X-cut flower punches
Gold mirri card.
Some gold ribbon and some gold peel off dots.
Sentiment Craftwork Cards

To be honest it was supposed to be the other way up, flowers at the top and sentiment at the bottom but I had a senior moment!

Lets hope the weather warms up for the long weekend.

Thanks for calling and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts challenge week 412 - Something beginning with B

It is Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and as the header says, she has chosen ....
Something beginning with B (no, a photo of Brenda will not count)

Our sponsor this week is Tattered Lace with these two lovely prizes.

I have chosen Buttons and Blue

A few weeks ago I decided that it was time I used some of my very old collection of buttons and I thought I would try to make some button flowers, these were my first attempt. It was a bit of a struggle at first but then I found it dead easy

I made them into a card using Honey Doo Crafts stamp - Flower Fountain.
Stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
Covered the actual flowers on the stamp with the button flowers, there is an odd one or two where a bit of the flower shows but this actually look like a bit of a leaf IRL.

Now listen carefully 'cos I shall say this only once "I was really  pleased with this card".
I feel I have never said that before and feel that I may never say it again.

Have a great week.
